Description
So, I’ve always had this head canon that post-movie Hiccup and Astrid were thick as thieves, but Astrid always wanted Hiccup to also have a guy friend to share his interests and whatnot. So she’s glad Hiccup and Fishlegs eventually became close friends, but at the same time she always feels a bit left out when those two get started.
I figure they all pile in Hiccup’s room till the wee hours of the night sometimes to update the Book of Dragons and Hiccup and Fishlegs will spent half the time swapping theories and just flaunting their intelligence and Astrid just sits there and watches while feeling amused and a little left out at the same time.

This is a great concept!
I like how you made Astrid's eyes here, all apologetic since she knows that Hiccup, while appreciative of Fishlegs, would really just rather hang out with just her at this particular time. But also how Hiccup and Fishlegs are engaged in coversation and she's kinda on the sidelines, but still just glad to be there, and amazed at how they click together and a bit in wonderment that they understand so much on the same level, but also a bit sad that they it took them all so long to get together like this, and almost reminiscing about fictional memories where they would've been doing this for years now, when, in fact, she knows that they shunned him, and just now realizing not only the effect that it had on Hiccup, but also how much better her and Fishleg's lives could've been as well if they had just stuck together from the start.
And I really love the concept overall of the three of them together as a "mini-team" of just friends. Some of my favorite episodes from the series in general are ones where the three of them pair up. It just seems to make the most sense as far as team goes (not to put down Ruff, Tuff, or Snot mind you, it just seems more compatible).
I would absolutely love it if you ever thought of creating one your magnificent little fanfics to go along with this sometime. This picture is just begging for a story to go along with it!
